This two-year online program provides an opportunity for anyone to learn about Jodo Shinshu Buddhism in English.
The Jodo Shinshu Correspondence Course (JSCC) is a 2-year program designed to introduce students to Buddhism and deepen their understanding of Jodo Shinshu. Students will cover the topics of general Buddhism, Jodo Shinshu I & II, and the History of Jodo Shinshu. Every month, students will download reading materials and submit an essay to the course site based on the provided topics.
Instructors, who are also Jodo Shinshu ministers from around the world, will evaluate and provide personal feedback on essays every month. To provide a wide range of perspectives, instructors are changed at the end of each topic.
